Carsten Oblaender began his career with German Public Broadcaster, ZDF where he served as the executive producer for the landmark millennial series, 100 Years - The Countdown. After founding STORY HOUSE Productions with Andreas Gutzeit, he wrote, directed and produced the National Geographic Channel special, Holy War, Inc., for which he received his first Emmy nomination. He also produced and directed, Blinding Horizon, the sequel to Holy War, Inc. which was shown in a congressional hearing to members of the U.S. House of Representatives just days after its premiere. Carsten Oblaender's credits also include Mission Ops: Assignments IED's for Discovery Times, the Emmy nominated Countdown to Ground Zero for The History Channel, The Cole Conspiracy also for the History Channel, Al Qaeda 2.0, a 60-minute special that helped launch the Discovery Times Network and Amazon Warrior Women, a special that aired to critical acclaim on ZDF, The National Geographic Channel and PBS.
