Uniform Justice
5 x 60 series; 2003-2005; Produced for Court TV
Executive Producer: Andreas Gutzeit;
Producer: Sonja Falldorf
The U.S. military is a
society unto itself, where patriotism,
honor and love of country are proudly
displayed. However, even in the military
where honor and loyalty are virtues,
betrayal and murder exist. When a crime
occurs on a military base, or involves a
soldier or sailor on active duty, the case
falls under the jurisdiction of an elite
unit of military criminal investigators.
Uniform Justice opens the case files
of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service
(NCIS) and the Office of Special
Investigation (OSI), the criminal
investigative units of the US Navy and Air
Force.
Each episode in the series follows a
military criminal investigation from crime
scene analysis to court martial
proceedings, offering viewers a rare
glimpse into the hidden world of military
law enforcement. How does a military
investigation differ from a civilian one?
How does the military culture help or
hinder justice? Filmed against the backdrop
of the US military on naval stations,
battleships and air force bases around the
world, Uniform Justice illustrates
the range, expertise and extreme
versatility of special agents serving with
the NCIS and OSI.
The program received a 2004 Silver Omni Award,
and is currently airing as part of The Investigators strand
on Court TV.
