The life of emperors and kings is well researched and documented. However, less is known about the everyday life of the ordinary people. It is full of surprises and offers a new perspective on history. „A Day in…“ answers the questions that people ask themselves today when they think about history: What was it like to live in Imperial Berlin or in Ancient Rome? How about the standard of living? How much have life expectancy and living conditions changed in the course of the past centuries? And what about values and morals?

The „Terra X“-series „A Day in…“ uses scientific findings to explore the everyday life of a person from a past era. Through dramatic reenactments, entertaining statistics and interviews with experts the documentary series shows what everyday life was like in the past.
